Water Treatment Project for Jigsaw Foods

WSP Engineering provide Principal Contractor and Principal Designer services

WSP Engineering onsite at Jigsaw Foods

We are proud to announce the start of a water treatment project with Watermark Projects (a division of The WA Cooke Group) and their client, Jigsaw Foods, a food manufacturer based in Nottinghamshire.

Founded in 2008, Jigsaw Foods produces bespoke sauces, dressings, marinades and butters using innovative manufacturing techniques, including the use of cryogenics.

The project will see Jigsaw Foods modernise and invest in its wastewater treatment plant. This improvement to the treatment facility will increase processing efficiency and ensure Jigsaw Foods continues to process any wastage in a sustainable and environmentally friendly manner.

The wastewater treatment equipment will be designed and provided by Watermark Projects, who have extensive experience in wastewater treatment, industrial fabrication and specialist steelwork and have been in business since 1926.

WSP Engineering has been contracted by Watermark Projects to undertake project management, civils and CDM responsibilities in preparation for the delivery of the wastewater treatment equipment.

The project started last month, and the first phase involves decommissioning the existing equipment and starting the groundworks.

Karl Brown, Turnkey Project Manager for WSP Engineering, said, “This project will see Jigsaw Foods benefit from the latest technologies and innovations in treating wastewater, and the new treatment plant will complement Jigsaw Food’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities. We are also pleased to be working alongside the team at Watermark Projects, who bring an abundance of knowledge and experience to this project.
