Project Update – Jigsaw Foods

Groundworks Complete and Equipment Installation Underway

WA Cooke DAF 10

The first phase of the wastewater treatment project for Watermark Projects (a division of WA Cooke) and their client, Jigsaw Foods, has been completed with the successful completion of groundworks in preparation for the final equipment location and the installation of Watermark Project’s DAF (dissolved air flotation) Model 10 (more details of which can be found here)

WSP Engineering has been appointed by Watermark Projects to undertake project management, civils and CDM responsibilities for this project, with our team ensuring the project is completed safely and to the project plan and phasing.

Completing the groundworks has been essential in ensuring that existing equipment can be relocated and the new DAF, designed and manufactured by Watermark Projects, can be housed temporarily before moving to its final working location.

The DAF Model 10, designed and manufactured by Watermark Projects, can treat up to 20,000 litres of water per hour, boasting an outstanding capacity and ancillary functions with a minimal footprint. This new DAF is a future-proof solution for Jigsaw Foods, providing them with a long asset life and efficient wastewater treatment.

The next stage of the project will involves:

  • Relocation of existing treatment tanks
  • Installation of new treatment tanks
  • Deep cleaning of the wastewater treatment facilities
  • Relocating the new DAF to its final location

Karl Brown, Turnkey Project Manager for WSP Engineering, said, “We are pleased with the safe and timely completion of the first stages of this project. The new equipment provided by Watermark Projects will allow Jigsaw Foods to process wastewater efficiently and sustainably for many years to come.
