Project Success at Jigsaw Foods

Jigsaw Foods Wastewater Treatment Project Conclusion

We are pleased to announce the completion and conclusion of the wastewater treatment project at Jigsaw Foods.

WSP Engineering was appointed by Watermark Projects to undertake project management, civils, and CDM responsibilities for this project, with our team ensuring the project is completed safely and to the project plan and phasing.

The project’s goal was to upgrade and update Jigsaw Food’s wastewater treatment process. It involved the completion of groundworks, relocation of existing equipment, installation of new equipment and testing/commissioning in readiness to hand the site back to the client.

The site’s DAF (dissolved air flotation) was upgraded to Watermark Projects Model 10, treating up to 20,000 litres of water per hour. The site also benefited from a new wastewater storage tank with a capacity of 80,000 cubic metres.

Jigsaw Foods now has a more efficient, sustainable and future-proof process for wastewater treatment, with the processing capability improved fourfold over the previous equipment.

WSP Engineering oversaw a safe and successful project in our role as principal contractor.

Dave Pickup, Director for WSP Engineering, said, “This project showcased the combined expertise of Watermark Projects and WSP Engineering. The project was completed safely and to timescales and has provided Jigsaw Foods with a more efficient and sustainable solution for wastewater treatment. We want to extend our thanks to everyone involved in making this project a success.
